I got this because I have a sectional with an ottoman. Difficult to have a coffee table and end tables can be too far away. I placed this under the center section of the couch. The drawer holds the remotes and any other little baubles we may need whilst watching TV. The top is large enough for one dinner plate and drink, or two smaller plates, and a couple of drinks. I use it all the time now. I find I like sitting in the center of the sectional rather than on the ends. Now that I have this amazing little table I am free to sit anywhere I please and not feel stranded with no place to put my TV necessities...
